Point-of-sale systems

I helped a winery set up a handful of Square POS systems using Apple iPads, Star Micronics printers, and unattached cash drawers, in their tasting room.

Possible points of failure

• iPads are inoperable
• Square readers are inoperable
• Square software is inoperable
• Square witholds payments based on lack of history
• Square witholds payments based on fraud alerts
• Square reporting or web site access fails to get logs
• Bank transfers fail because of Square policies / procedures
